Governing Information
The Town of Green Level operates under the Mayor-Council plan as provided by Part 3 of Article 7 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes. The governing body of the Town of Green Level is the Town Council, which has five members.
The qualified voters of the entire Town elect the members of the Council.
The members of the Town Council are elected for four-year terms of office. The mayor shall be elected by the Council from among its members to serve as its pleasure. The mayor has the right to vote on all matters before the Council.
Town Council Meetings
Town Council Meetings are held at the new Municipal Building (Town Hall) 2510 Green Level Church Road Green Level, North Carolina 27217 on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm.
The purpose of a town hall meeting is to get the officials together for news and to update ordinances or approve tracts of land and businesses. Anything that has to do with running the town can be discussed. It also gives the people a chance to speak and know what is going on in the town.
