The Town of Green Level is requesting for residents to please remove any obstructions from the streets and sidewalks, i.e.; trash cans (when not trash pickup), basketball goals, bikes, debris, etc. Please review the following Obstruction of Streets Ordinance below so you will not be cited with a violation resulting in a monetary penalty.

§ OBSTRUCTION OF STREETS PROHIBITED.

Nuisance

(A) It shall be unlawful for any person or business to obstruct any public street,

sidewalk, alley, road, or right-of-way within the corporate limits.

(B) It shall be unlawful to obstruct, pile, place, or leave, or cause to be obstructed,

placed, or left temporarily or permanently, any basketball goals, trash, refuse,

garbage, lumber, logs, cordwood, tree-tops, or any other material upon any road

or town street or the shoulders thereof, or within the right-of-way or over the ditches

or drain ways of any road or street of the town street system. Exception to (B): If

items placed in the right-of-way are approved for bulky item pickup and proper

arrangements have been made for pickup. However, if the items remain long

enough to constitute a nuisance in accordance with 93.15, then further actions will

be taken.

Please note, you must acquire a fence permit, prior to building fence on your property. Visit the Town of Green Level website or visit the Town Hall to obtain an application for a fence permit. If you do not acquire a fence permit, a violation and monetary penalties may apply.
