UPDATE

Our sewage system is now connected to the City of Burlington and there will be no fee increase in the water or sewer rates for Green Level residents for 2015/2016! Thank you for your continued patience as we work toward paying off the new sewage system’s debt.

The Town of Green Level is constructing a “New Forcemain” which will start at the Basil Holt Road site and end at the East Burlington Wastewater Treatment Facilities. The “New” force main will extend from the pump station site along Basil Road, Hwy 49, Haw river-Hopedale Road (SR1737) and then across private property to a river crossing the Haw River directly into the influent of the East Burlington Facility. The maximum force main elevation is 649 feet at approximately 1400 linear feet. The pump station’s elevation is 625 feet and the discharge elevation is 600 feet. This line will be fully functional and will serve the entire collection system of the Town of Green Level. In addition the Town of Green Level will have a direct discharge to the treatment works as well as reducing the chance of have Sanitary Sewer Overflows reaching surface waters of the state.
